There was no Deadpool in the classroom this week.

"Oh, seriously?" Xanthippe asked no one in particular, once it became obvious he wasn't about to show up. "He's not even bothering to come to his own class now?"

Luckily – and for absolutely no reason – there was a big bag of self-adhesive googly eyes on the teacher's desk. Xanthippe pointed at it.

"Do something with those, I guess. I don't care."

(She would've liked to come up with an actual class. But that would've meant getting some advance warning, Wade. So, acting like she didn't care was going to be the way to go.)

Soooooo....the TA was obviously very whatever, and to Summer, that was cool. Without the buffer of a teacher, then, even a teacher as whatever as this one was, Summer now felt the pressure to seem cool. So she was decidedly very whatever right now, too, and then meant just being glued to her phone for the majority of class.

Until she stumbled across some cute pictures of puppers and kittens, which then had her putting googly eyes (with the paper over the adhesive still in place because she wasn't an idiot, thanks) on the pictures, thus giving the puppers and kittens googly eyes, and, ohmygod, kind of the best thing ever.
