Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

The weather held out nicely during the day, and while that meant some of the tables were right out in the warm sun, others had been carefully placed under some shade, and the gentle breeze had cleared at least a little of the glitter up.

It wasn't totally gone, of course. That wouldn't be any fun!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Anne wriggled her fingers at the goldfish because that seemed like a reasonable greeting.

"And I'm glad you're not, you know without clothes or whatever."

"Believe me, I am too," Magnus said with a very concerned nod. Because he could have been. Should have been, honestly.

"Oh," a thought occurred to her. "I hope you didn't get separated from anyone or anything."

That would pretty much suck.

"Sorry for asking," she said apologetically.

"It's not your fault," he replied, still looking glum. "I just need to figure out how to get back."

Because the leading cause of death in D&D is splitting the party.

Anne offered an apologetic shrug.

"I don't think I know much of use on that front, but if there's anything I can do to help, please let me know?"

He'd collect these offers like he collected robot arms.

"In the meantime, at least the food here seems to be pretty good?" she offered, waving at the tables.

Even if they didn't have that unicorn thing he'd mentioned.

Anne laughed. "A not-insignificant consideration."

"Got any favorites yet?" she asked. "I've really been enjoying the fruit." They didn't have a lot of fresh stuff back home.

"I'm a sort of meat and potatoes guy myself," Magnus replied. "But I'd never turn down these cookies."

Why yes, that half-eaten plate of cookies by him was his. He was going to get suuuuch a tummy ache.

"Cookies, huh?" Anne eyed the plate.

"Do you mind?" Sure, there were plenty of other cookies around, but these were close by.

He quickly grabbed three from the pile before letting her take her pick. He needed those cookies, okay? He needed them.

As evident from him shoving them into his mouth.

"Thanks." She didn't say anything about the cookies stuffed into his mouth. After all, she'd been known to do the same thing on occasion.

She just grabbed a couple. No reason to deprive him of his hoard. Especially since he was the one who was suddenly stranded on the island.

"Hey, you weren't kidding. These are great."

Somewhere... Taako was judging him for having no taste.

"Actually, I don't know if I've had any quite like this before." She held up a cookie curiously. "Do you know what kind this one is?"

Chocolate chip apparently wasn't a universal cookie recipe.

"...chocolate chip?" Yes, Magnus was traumatized by a world without them. It was like a world without Pringles.

And, sorry, Magnus. No Pringles where Anne was from, either.
