Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

The weather held out nicely during the day, and while that meant some of the tables were right out in the warm sun, others had been carefully placed under some shade, and the gentle breeze had cleared at least a little of the glitter up.

It wasn't totally gone, of course. That wouldn't be any fun!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Xanthippe was neither shirtless nor really mingling. Because keeping your eyes on your phone the entire time you were walking around did not count as mingling by any stretch of the imagination.

If she walked right into any of you... She wasn't going to be sorry.

Peter was curious about the new people, so he was going to show up and look around.

He'd be ignoring the food for reasons, and keeping his shirt on because he was an Adult, but it was a nice day out, so why not mingle a bit?

Dante had his shirt off. He was also sauntering in about an hour after the start of the picnic; he'd grabbed a quick portal over to scope out the newbies today, but that was it.

Mm, sunlight.

Yeah, Rhys wasn't going to be shirtless either because that was sort of weird. Also he was pale enough to blind people and scrawny as a noodle.

But he was there, keeping an eye out.

Summer had been promised food, and food there was, glorious food, all spread out in the open for flies to land on it, but she did not care one bit. Food! Not pills! She was trying to contain her excitement because she didn't want to give herself that reputation, but when she hadn't had a slice of pizza or even a goddamn potato chip in a few months, it was kind of a big deal.

But she wasn't so hungry that she couldn't start snapping pictures and sending them to Morty to rub it in his face. She even got on facetime to make it particularly sweet. "Hey, Morty. Morty, look at this. Do you see this? Look. Pizza. Pepperoni, ohmygod, it tastes so, so good. It's so greasy and cheesy, just dripping down my chin, oh man, Morty."

"Aww, gee, Summer! W-why do you gotta be such a bitch?"

"Oh, and look, Morty, look at this hamburger, and all these fixings, I am going to have the biggest, juiciest burger you can imagine. They look like they were grilled, too, they'e got grill marks, and--"

"Summer, stop teasing your brother with food."

"Oh! Oh, look, Dad, look at this!"

"Is that...is that...rocky road?"

"Yeah, Dad, it is! Read 'em and weep! You want to send me away to school, well, suck on it. At least I have real food. Stick that in your craw and eat it. Oh, wait, you can't. Ah ha ha ha ha!"

Mmmm, petty revenge never tasted so sweet. But now that that was over, maybe she can go back to being normal and hoping that not too many people saw that.

The Smith family was...a special family.

Magnus was lured away from the whole teacher thing for the promise of food. Sometime it felt like he never ate outside of those times with the Glutton's Fork.

Ahsoka was not shirtless. Ahsoka being shirtless in public would likely end badly for all concerned.

Ahsoka, did however have a plate full of food.

But she wasn't about to show it, so she piled a plate with fruit and cookies and tried not to make eye contact with any of the shirtless people.

Hannibal had his own coffee (and beer, to share with Jono if nobody else) and sandwiches, and since the weather was good, he was sitting at a table in the sun, enjoying it.

Alluka wandered over to him, her bunny in her arms, and blinked.

"Hi, Dante! Are you all out of shirts?" she asked innocently.

It was a fair question! He bought shirts fairly regularly!

The chance that Alluka would ever go shirtless at a picnic was less than zero even if she understood the reasoning why. (Which she didn't.)

So she was fully dressed in a cute, pink skirt, black leggings, and a green, frilly top. Her stuffed bunny was held in her arms as she peered around with big, blue eyes.

... and maybe was making her way over to the tables to see how much chocolate she could eat today before anyone stopped her.

Oh, hey! Peridot was shirtless!

Heck, Peridot was naked, except for her nametag, which, admittedly, was more than she usually wore. Not that anybody would really know to look at her, since her body also came with a convenient green and yellow bodysuit kind of deal, but she was way more naked than anybody else here, probably.

And she was giving the food table a look. Ugh, with the humans and the eating...

Ada wasn't shirtless, but given the cut of her top it was close. Though really, if you counted the amount of glitter she was wearing, she was totally clothed decently.

Besides, this was pretty much the first day of the year she could run around in tiny shorts and not freeze to death; she wanted to enjoy the sun as much as possible.

And if she had tiny packets of glitter to throw at people tucked in her bag? Well, that was also a Fandom Welcome as much as the shirtlessness.

Leaning back against a tree on the outskirts of the park, mostly just to give the newcomers to the island some idea of what it was they might be getting themselves into, unwrapped but not so shirtless that he wasn't going to wear a leather jacket anyway, was Jono.

Because he was a little shit, that was why. Welcome to Fandom Island, kids.

She'd lost track of her time, playing with her toys. It happened. Most people probably didn't lose track of months though.
