Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

The weather held out nicely during the day, and while that meant some of the tables were right out in the warm sun, others had been carefully placed under some shade, and the gentle breeze had cleared at least a little of the glitter up.

It wasn't totally gone, of course. That wouldn't be any fun!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"So what do you do when that happens?" Dante asked. "You find an outlet yet?"

"Nothing great. I've been going out riding, most of the time, but that doesn't always help."

The nightmares were so tied up with ATs that sometimes it was hard to get distance from them.

Ringo rolled her eyes. Because she knew what he meant.

"Because I'm on ATs in most of my nightmares." It was hard to run away from a nightmare when you were doing something similar to it.

"You try just plain running?" Dante said, tilting his head.

"Um. No." Hadn't even occurred to her, in fact.

Like, why would she go out without ATs? That was just crazy talk!

"Might help better," Dante said, shrugging casually. "It's still kinda what you do, but it's not the exact thing you do."

Ringo licked her lips thoughtfully.

"Maybe?" It might be worth trying, at least.

"I think Kathy's been running." And maybe it was working for her?

Not that that pause implied that might not be entirely true or anything.

It was funny how she almost sounded a little disappointed about that. Like Dante was taking away a traditional topic that they could fight over.

Funny, though. Ringo's tone was soft, and her expression fond.

Dante was a lot higher on her list of people she trusted than Ringo would have guessed he'd be when she'd first met him.
