The books were misbehaving again.
This unto itself wasn't really anything strange, no. But it was annoying. Somehow, all of the writing on the covers had vanished overnight, leaving a library full of books with no titles, no authors, nothing to identify them by unless one actually opened the book up and started reading for, at the very least, some context as to which section the book might belong in.
Which was probably a task better left to somebody from this galaxy, but Peridot was doing her level best to figure it out.
By noon, she'd managed to guess at three whole books! And two out of three of those guesses were wrong. Unless Moby Dick could also pass for a book about outdoor sport and fishing. In which case, keep up the great work, 'Dot!
