Mon Mar. 20 - The librarian is in

Kurt had entered the library early in the morning, after a night of coffee with CJ. He was amazed by the place, especially the "special collections area". He nearly entered that part, but opted not to. Instead he just took the time to wander around, looking at all of the books, and getting a feel for the place.

Mostly he was just happy.

(ooc - Ok, finally Nightcrawler is in the library. Since I don't know the full protocal, Kurt went ahead and opened the library and is just lurking about. Mostly. Anyone want to meet the "fuzzy elf", come on down!)

Rory wandered into the library and stopped dead in her tracks when she saw who was at the desk.

She cleared her throat, and cautiously approached, remembering what Angela had told her.

"Um. Hello? Are you our new librarian?"

Kurt looked up from his book. "Ja, I am indeed. And you would be that wunderboll actress from the play I saw with Prof. Cregg this weekend, ja?"

"Um, no, I directed," Rory corrected. "But you probably saw me running around anyway."

She smiled, and held out her right hand. "Rory Gilmore. I'm one of the library aides."

Kurt nearly smacked his forehead. He had been so distracted with his own self inflicted fear of crowds, and being singled out that he had seen her running around, and mistaken her for one of the actors.

"Verzeihen Sie mir," He said as he took her hand. "Forgive me in other words. I was greatly impressed with the show, und you directed? Unglaublich! Quite a delightful rendition your actors did. You should be proud."

He stood up. "Und you are one of the aides too? Fantastic." He smiled broadly.

Rory's smile widened a little bit. "Thank you. It was...unexpected, how things went. But everyone survived, so hooray for that." She tilted her head curiously. "Kommen Sie aus Deutschland? Oder verwirre ich Ihren Akzent?"

"Ja, although what part I was born in..?" He shrugged. "I was found as a baby by a group of gypsies, and raised in a circus."

"That's not something you hear every day," Rory said diplomatically. "What brings you to Fandom?"

Kurt smiled. "I was a teacher at Charles Xavier's School for the Gifted, but Herr Professor felt that I would be happier doing something different. So he pulled some strings, and now..." He extended his arms. "I am here. Und although I love the school, I do feel happier here."

"Well, we're glad to have you. Our last librarian didn't speak," she replied with a wry smile. "So this is a welcome change."

"Ja I heard, un orangatun." Kurt chuckled. "Well, my worst problem is that sometimes I talk too much. So that might not be much better."

"Danke for your welcome, I'm sure we will have quite the time here."

"Let me know if there's anything I can help with, as far as getting you situated," Rory offered.
