Jaye's just eating popcorn and frowning a lot. She's read Shakespeare. This is more interesting.

Here was the thing: Angel might have noticed the whole oddness of the play, cast acting a bit off, yadda yadda thing except for this:

Callisto was wearing red.

So... that's pretty much where his thoughts stopped and started for this bit.

Chloe is certainly not an ace at Shakespeare, but she doesn't remember "doodyhead" being on any list of old English insults.

Ivanova was very impressed. She had barely recognised Blair. Without, y'know, the bouncing and the general hippie demeanor. He may even have blown a kiss in her general direction, which she highly doubted. He was a surprisingly good actor.

She had to admit, with her head tilted a little bit sideways to watch his exit, he was looking pretty good tonight.

Xander, too.

She wondered if Tonks could be persuaded into some leather. Something skin-tight. Hugging all her curves. Ivanova's mouth went dry.

Shakespeare wasn't as boring as he thought it was going to be, Bel happily realized.

Sharon has absolutely no idea what the play is about. But it seems to be amusing. And no one's died, or killed any trees yet.

Lucas' eye remained raised the entire act. This was a very interesting interpretation of the text.

"Interesting," Zhaan murmurs, deciphering the texts (as it were). If she knew the actors more, she might see something off. As she didn't, she merely assumes it's an addition to their performances.

Veronica wondered if Nadia had been so nervous about the play that she'd gotten drunk first.

W. T. F. Blair??? Wow, so not the kid who was doing yoga yesterday.

Nadia??? The glitter robot girl? Whoa.

She leaned forward in rapt attention...this was absolutely the best production of this she'd ever seen. She didn't mean to ignore Kurt who will be in the seat beside her as soon as the mun gets back online, but this was...enchanting.

Kurt was enthralled. The performance was one of the finest he had seen. He smiled at CJ, giving silent thanks for her inviting him. in a handwavey call or such that wasn't posted

She leaned over and whispered softly as she pointed to the actors on the stage, how well they were getting into these roles.

"I'm stunned. This is utterly amazing."

Kurt nodded agreement. "Ja, I am delighted to see this." He squeezed her hand.

She looked down briefly at his hand holding hers and smiled. A brief sideways glance and a soft grip in return, and her attention was pulled back to the stage.

She was so very thankful it was dark enough to hide her cheeks, because from the heat she could tell she was blushing.

Paige wondered vaguely who the hot goth guy was, cos she was sure she'd not seen him at school before, although he did look vaguely familar.

And did he just blow her a kiss? And did she just really he did?

Also she may have been looking for gremlins under the seat cos this was not like the Shakespeare she'd seen back in San Francsico, but then nothing was like back home really.

Faithful wondered if Alanna was still semi-drunk after her morning exercise.

If Zhaan were surprised by a cat with a sword on its back, it didn't show as she glanced over and spotted Faithful. To be fair, she'd met Rygel, who looked like a giant slug. "Good evening," she said, inclining her head. After all, it was polite to greet strangers, even if they appeared to be animals.

"Good evening." Faithful inclined his head in greating. "Does something strike you as off about the play? Or did Egeus enjoy her wine too much this morning?"

Re: Act I

[identity profile] notavegetarian.livejournal.com 2006-03-19 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
"It does seem rather..." Zhaan frowned a moment, "As though they're all extra exuberant in their fulfillment of their roles." But then, maybe that was how the kids were in class, as well.
