Don't Be a Hero [Thursday, 2nd Period]

Cara's class were once again meeting in the Danger Shop, which was set to the home ec kitchen sim.

"Never drink the purple rum," Cara said, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Also if you believe the stories, heroes only ever eat at victory feasts, which is a good way to keel over the first time you try to pick up a weapon. Which means you get to learn to cook today."

She gestured around the room. "So figure it out."

She's not actually going to attempt to teach you to cook, that would be cruel.

She's sure you can figure out something edible...eventually.

There are ingredients, and equipment, and probably a recipe book or two floating around, it can't be that hard, right?

Ada wasn't going to argue with a free lunch, if Miss Cara was providing food to cook.

She dug around until she came up with enough things to make a vegetable fried rice, and set to work. Pancakes would have been easier, but that would be harder to take to work with her later.

Lucille was already taking Home Ec. Did she have to cook here too? At least she could understand this assignment, and she had taken Dr Lecter's classes, so she managed to make an acceptable soup.

Khadgar didn't really cook much when he could just conjure food to appear. But, he thought that might be a bit like cheating, so he went about throwing some vegetables and stock together to see if he could make a somewhat edible soup.

She drank the purple rum. It was a mistake.
