Detention, 03.18.06, 9:00 AM

When the students walked in, the Danger Shop looked like The Tick's normal classroom. He was, of course, standing at the front of the room. Lockheed was sitting on the front desk playing solitaire. Next to him was a sign-in sheet.

"Hello, Molly, Cameron. For the sake of the arts, Detention will run a little short today. I hope you don't mind that. So, let's get to it!"

[OOC: Sign out at 2 PM EST at the earliest. I'll actually be heading to work for a couple hours doing non-computer stuff, so I may be gone for a little bit. Play between yourselves and mod the dragon where appropriate.]

If there were other students in detention today, Molly might have just described one of the many fights she had with bad guys back home. But, it was Cam, who she had been meaning to tell anyway, and The Tick, who understood about these things.

"When I was eleven, my friends Alex- well, Alex knew before, but that isn't important to my story right now- Alex, Nico, Gert, Chase and Karolina discovered that our parents were actually members of an evil criminal organization called The Pride who were trying to destroy all of humanity for these evil, six-fingered giants called the Gibborim in exchange for control over all of L.A. and a good chunk of California and a chance to live on in the paradise the Gibborim would make after all of the humans were gone.

"We, me and my friends, decided that we would try to stop them because destroying all of humanity is wrong. We were able to do this by freeing the soul of the murdered girl that they were going to offer to the Gibborim. But, the Gibborim got angry and killed our parents who stalled them long enough for us to escape. All of this is really just back story for the things I've done for Justice."

Molly took a breath. "Since the death of our parents caused a power vacuum in L.A., a lot more criminals of all kinds have been showing up. What I, and my friends, have done for Justice is to use our powers, abilities and the technology left to us by our parents to fight those criminals and stop another group like The Pride from taking over L.A."

Cameron wasn't sure what to reply to that, he had suspected something was wrong with her parents but this... He reached out and squeezed her shoulder. "I'm sorry," he said. "I had no idea..."

Molly reached up and touched his hand on her shoulder as she gave him a reassuring smile. "How could you?" she said. "It's not exactly something anybody would guess. And I wasn't keeping it a secret from you or anything," she added quickly. "It's just not something you can just add in to a normal conversation, you know?"

"Yeah, I can get that." He sighed. "That's rough. I think you've earned more than a superhero costume," he tried to lighten up the conversation.

Molly grinned. "Nah," she said. "I'm not a superhero... yet."

"Don't cut yourself short," he told her softly and pickedu p the marshmellows. "You should at least get some marshmellows," he said and put one on a stick so Lockhead could roast it.

Molly happily took the roasted marshmallow after Lockheed was done with it.

"Uh, I think everyone here pretty much knows the thing I did for Justice and it was discussed in class already so...?" He shrugge a bit because he still wasn't sure exactly how unhappy Tick was with the study group.

Cameron looked a bit surprised because he'd kinda zoned out after the whole part where he went for oranges instead of apples. Or maybe it was the other way around. "Thank you, sir. It were people trying to get together to defend Justice which is always good. Unless everyone goes power hungry."

Molly beamed at The Tick. "Thank you, Mr. Professor The Tick."
