Nadia was beginning to wonder what this obsession was with pinching people for things.

She'd heard of St. Patrick's day, but hadn't known when it was. Fortunately, she was wearing her army jacket, and thus, green.

She grabbed some sheperds pie-a and took a seat at her usual table by the window.

Blair grabbed some salad and sat across from her. "Hi!"

Nadia smiled. "Hey. How are you?"

"I'm good, excited about tonight." Blair grinned and pointed at her jacket. "You wore green! Are you celebrating St. Patricks day?"

Nadia looked at her jacket. "No, just cold. I didn't know it was St. Patrick's Day."

"I forgot it was today. Which is why I didn't pick out any green to wear." Blair bounced and leaned forward. "Have you ever tried green beer? I caught a segment on the news and they said that it's tradition for bars to serve green beer today. Do you think it tastes weird?"

Nadia smiled. "All American beer tastes weird. But they probably just add the color, and not a flavor."

"Good point. It would be really hard to add in a green type flavor. Like apples or...um...trees or something?"

"Or mint." Nadia made a face. "Which would be very gross."

"You don't like mint? Or just not in beer?"

"Have you ever tried beer? Mint and beer would be like . . ." she thought for a moment to find a good comparisson. "Toothpaste and orange juice."

"Of course I've tried beer!" Blair tried hard to look affronted...and taller. "You're right, it would taste totally gross. Yuck."

"Just for comparison purposes...is the beer the toothpaste or the orange juice?"

Nadia made a mental note to get Blair some real beer at some point. "Well, as you know, beer doesn't really taste much like either toothpaste or orange juice. But for the sake of the comparisson, it would be the orange juice."

"In my opinion, the orange juice," Walter agreed, taking a seat and looking at his shepherd's pie-a with relish ~~not catsup~~.

"The first person to pinch me might just lose a finger," he warned with an almost serious look.

Nadia was, above anything else, a teenager, and thus her mind went to exactly where she'd want to pinch Walter--

So she blushed. "You are not Irish, so I think we can forgive your lack of green." and in an attempt not to appear to still be crushgirl ~~even if she was~~, she looked around. "Or, you could just say that Victor is green enough for both of you,"

"If he did anything other than sleep anymore," Walter said, and no, that's not pouting. Really.

But this is a subject change. "The play's tomorrow, right? I can't wait to see all my friends on stage."

"Yup, tomorrow." Blair grinned at Nadia. "It's going to be great, right?"

Nadia grinned. "That's right. It should be really neat. You're coming?"

"Are you having me on? I wouldn't miss it for anything!" Walter grinned at Nadia and Blair. It was going to be great fun to see his friends while he had the luxury of sitting in his seat and getting it all on tape with Victor's camera.

"I'm really excited. I've never been in a play before."

"You'll all be brilliant, I know it." Walter grinned ~~not at all as evilly as his mun, who cackles at the camera idea~~ and dug in to his lunch.

"What part are you playing, Blair?"

"The wishy-washy Lysander. Guy can't decide what girl he loves." Blair shrugs.

"It happens," Walter said with a matching shrug. "But are you having fun with it? I haven't seen much of you lately outside of classes."

"Yeah, it's been a lot of fun! Mostly I like hanging out with lots of people and practicing." Blair shrugged. "You know, you're right. I've been a sort of a shut in lately getting school work done and practicing. What have you been up to lately?"

"We went on a boat trip two nights ago. It was interesting." He cocked his head toward Nadia. "Nadia, Pip, Pippi, and I. At least the food was good, even if the fish monsters were not."
