The books were restless today. Or rustle-ish? They were definitely making a lot of noise either way, fanning their pages to make rustling and crinkling sounds in patterns that Peridot had come to recognize as music. Sort of music. Paper music.
The weird part, though, was that none of the books making the music sounds were actually music books. In fact, every single book on the topic of music was arranged neatly in rows, pointed toward the noisier of the tomes, and would occasionally clap their covers open and closed as if in applause.
Peridot didn't pretend to understand Earth at all. But every now and again, mostly just to appease the stacks, she would at least clap her hands, too.
[OOC: I didn't forget about this until I was at work so it's a no OCD day, honest.]
