Blue.

Every book in the library was blue today. Rufus had no idea why. Closer inspection suggested maybe it was vaguely close to violet but… no, blue was his first impression. A gloomy, ugly blue-violet. What a colour for the library to have chosen.

Dark Nation didn't care, but Rufus found it bizarre, despite being harmless.

Still, it didn't alter the content of the books (he checked) so after putting the returns away, he settled down to read.

Nathan was well aware of the island's antics, but still hadn't been anticipating quite so much blue when he'd come in to look into something he'd promised he'd do some research on, today. Apparently, the island thought it was funny. Or the library did. Something of the sort, either way.

He brushed it off quickly enough, making his way to the books on American history. It was a section of the library that he was well familiar with from years ago, so he'd be quite happy to content himself with settling in and picking through books that recorded that time that was more or less right around his own. Not a pleasant business, no. But he'd volunteered.
