The library was not hot enough to make someone wish for the relative coolness of Tatooine this week, a fact Ahsoka was deeply grateful for.

That gratitude was short lived, however, as the books seemed to be arranging themselves into what looked suspiciously like a bomb shelter. Even more strangely, someone or something had taken the toy clone trooper she'd found in her room last Sunday and had placed it so looked like it was supervising the books.

This place was weird.

Ahsoka also had...complicated feelings concerning the troopers.

"...what's a llama?" Earth had a lot of weird animals, she hadn't learned about all of them yet.

"They're hairy and have hooves," Rhys said, giving possibly the worst description for an animal he could. "Like if someone drew a horse without knowing what they looked like?"

Yeah, that probably didn't help.

"I see." See this expression, Rhys? Ahsoka learned it from watching Obi-Wan interact with Anakin.

"I get the impression the turning into animals thing is temporary."

Only when the island causes it, Ahsoka.

He would take that as a compliment because his hair was also fabulous! And he made poor choices and trusted evil people sometimes. What? Who said that?

"Oh thank god. He's even louder than normal."

Because he was turned into a llama, Rhys. It was very traumatic.

It wasn't a compliment, Rhys. Also you misspelled 'hilarious'.

"Kuzco with the delusions of grandeur, right?" None of the royalty Ahsoka had met acted like him, including the evil ones.

How dare you! Anakin was such a role model! Just ask Kylo Ren.

"That'd be him," Rhys replied with a succinct nod. "We've finally gotten to the point where we don't lock each other out of the room."

Though now that Kuzco had hooves, it was tempting...

Ahsoka was the only being in several realities with absolute, nigh-unshakable faith in Anakin's teaching abilities, and even her narrative was side-eyeing that statement.

"...have you considered different rooms?" Ahsoka, hush, don't be sensible.

...okay, far point.

"That involves dealing with the moose," Rhys replied darkly. That moose did not like him. It possibly had some rakk hive ancestry. He would not be surprised if that was the case.

"The moose would probably get along better with Kuzco now he's a llama."

Ahsoka, no.

"...that's true." Ahsoka, you have brought the inevitable backlash from this on yourself.

Ahsoka, you were supposed to be the one with common sense.

"So send him to deal with it."

"I'd have to trick him into it," Rhys said, making this even worse. "For some reason he thinks I turned him into a llama."

And not his creepy adviser who he'd just fired.

"That'll probably work better than asking." Ahsoka, stop, your background music was turning into the Imperial March playing softly.

"Why'd he think that?"

But they were bonding! Friendship can't be evil!

"He's crazy?" Rhys guessed. "I don't know. I mean. Genetic tampering would be way more plausible. Maybe if I reprogrammed a Fast Travel Station..."

Rhys, no.

Just ask Palpatine about that.

"I don't think that would work." Because it was wrong. "We don't have any of those here." And it was wrong.

Let's be honest here, Rhys would probably nervously do whatever Palpatine told him.

"So, obviously it couldn't have been me."

Yes. Obviously.

Oh, Rhys, honey, no.

"Did you point that out to him?" Because that would've worked.

He had issues with this, okay?

"...have you met Kuzco?" He still believed he was emperor of the known world.

She had. "It couldn't hurt to try."

She was also an optimist.

Damn it, Ahsoka.

"If that doesn't work, I'm telling him that the moose wants to talk to him."

"Exactly. What could go wrong?"

Everything. And you'd been around far too many of Anakin's plans not to know that, Ahsoka.

Anakin at least had some skills to back his plans up. Rhys... not so much.

Which was why Rhys considered it. "Maybe an anonymous note would work best."
