Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day

Thankfully, the weather on the island today was fairly nice for the tail end of December, but there was still a medium-sized bonfire going in the middle of the lawn, partly due to tradition and partly due to the potential for shirtlessness (which, Zoe supposed, was also tradition.)

The usual tables were set up with warm foods, nametags, and lists for the new and old folks to find each other. Once everything was set up, it was time to celebrate a new year and the start of a new semester!

[OCD is up! I'm consolidating this down to one post, so bring all your new and old folks over here! Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"It still could be!" Kuzco insisted.

Rhys inhaled like he just could not believe this level of bullshit.

"So, now I control the island?"

That'd actually be nice. Because he could go back to being an adult, thanks.

Kuzco narrowed his eyes. "Maybe. You could just be pretending to be super dumb."

"I am not dumb," Rhys snapped, crossing his scrawny arms over his equally scrawny chest.

"Uh huh," Kuzco said. "You keep telling yourself that."

Said the guy who didn't realize he had been turned into a llama.

"I'm not taking this from a llama." Oh, sick burn, Rhys.

"Shut up."

Brilliant retort, Kuzco.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the fact that you're a llama." That didn't even make sense, but Rhys had enough smugness that it was probably still annoying.

"I won't be a llama forever!" Kuzco proclaimed.

Probably?

"Let me know when you stop being one!" So he can finally stop mocking this. "Or maybe you'll just turn into something else instead."

Hopefully something with hands...

"Still be cuter than you are!" Kuzco replied.

"In your dreams!"

Rhys was adorable.

Kuzco scoffed. "Like I'd dream about you."

"You wish you dreamed of me!" Sometimes Rhys needed to think about what he was saying.

Kuzco shuddered. "Um. Ew."

Yeah, that was the only appropriate reaction to this.

"Yeah. Well. You're still a llama."

At some point he'd stop being able to use that in an argument.

"I'm a lllllllama!" he wailed.

Drama llama.

Yeah, there was that pity thing happening again. "How about you have some food? Can... llamas eat any of that stuff?"

"I hope so," Kuzco said. "I'm not eating grass."

"If you puke, do it away from me." Rhys was the best roommate you could have hoped for, Kuzco.
