Rory facepalmed. "No, it wasn't bor - I mean, no we didn't sleep together like that. We fell asleep! With snoring and dreaming and all of that. Full clothed!"

Xander stifled a snicker. "Rory, we all know what you did. You did it live on the radio last night, after all."

"Then what's with the insinuations?" Rory squeaked, now a lovely shade of red that would make a fire engine look pale.

Xander dipped a paintbrush in some crimson paint and held it up next to her face for comparative purposes. Being able to smother an evil grin was sadly beyond his capabilities now. "It's fun?"

Jake looked from his tomato to Rory, then gave Xander a solemn nod. "I believe you are correct."

"It's good that you guys are so comfortable together."

Grinning, Parker shoook a can of blue paint and sprayed a ATHENS OMEGA CORINTH on one of the drop sheets, saying, "You guys should have had much, much more caffiene before you did that broadcast. Unless the radio booth was filled with sleepy dust. That was just hilarious."

"And since neither of your are attached," Parker stressed, "And you are sooooo cute together, and you fell asleep, in your room, you are going to be hearing about it until Doomsday, boyo. This couldn't be better if you planned it."

Rory felt like banging her head against something.

"But...if one of us needed a cover story, I guess this is good?" she ventured. "Assuming that one of us needed a cover story like, ever again. Which is probably not happening, because that's just silly."

"Besides," Bridge says crossly. "Nobody made a big deal when I slept in Cal's room when Angel was in the clinic. This is the same sorta thing."

"No one would tease a stressed Callisto unless they had a deathwish and an exhibitionist streak, because she'd make it nice and public." Parker shook her head. "And you *know* I believe you." She grinned. "I'm just amused that you were too tired to think straight. Although as cover stories for nonexistent reasons go, this one damn well works."

"And besides, everyone knows about Cal and Angel," Rory added, leaving the rest of her statement unsaid.

"And hey, how come teasing *me* is okay, if teasing Cal isn't?" Bridge asks with a frown.

"You are a laid-back guy who reads people's auras if they ask you to, and who has never, to my knowledge, threatened anyone with 'burnination.' Cal is an edgy armor-wearing army general who's okay with dating the undead ex-psycho. You do the math." Parker sprayed AMAZONS UNITE! on one of the drop-clothes in livid orange, then stood back to admire it.

Xander wandered over towards them with a new can of paint, and sprayed "PLEASE" just under Parker's message, in cobalt blue, and then "(BENDY!)" in bright green beneath that.
