Shop, Tuesday, period 3

The shop was the familiar old "tables in a junkyard" set-up today. Eliot had just about given up on getting the place to look like anything else.

"Right," he said when class was due to start. "Only two classes left in the semester, and next week I want to open the place up so you all can show off your projects. So today is Open Shop. The tools and materials are all at your disposal. You can work on finishing up a project from earlier in the year, or you can start something new, it's up to you. Got anything you've been burning to try out, let me know, and we'll see about getting you the supplies you need. Otherwise . . . have a ball."

Once it was clear the scale of Ada's project, Eliot made his way over to watch her work for a moment.

"Nice." He leaned over to get a look at the notes she was working from. "Guessin' the squirrels'd appreciate it. Assumin' they ever come back."

"There's enough littles around here, I figured there might be a daycare or something that would want it, so th' dolls could have a party," Ada said with a shrug. "Though if'n th' squirrels wanna buy it off me, pretty sure we could come to an arrangement."
