Today, Atton had asked the class to meet up at Fast Eddie's. "Morning, class," he said. "You're going bowling. Go get your ugly shoes."

... Nobody could prove he was doing this to avoid another chicken-related embarrassment. Nobody. "I want you kids to look into the factors that lay beneath the concept of odds," he said. "Sure, chance is a big part of what we're looking into. But you can boost your chances in certain ways, and kill them in another."

He picked up a bowling ball. "I want you all to pick a partner," he said, "And keep track of their stats while you bowl. At the end of the class, share your stats. Would you bet on yourself based on those? Why are they the way they are, and what can you do to make them better?"

Ugh. Shoes. Still, Ada had figured this was going to happen, when they'd been told to come here for class. Which was why she'd put on two pairs of socks, and grabbed a pair that was just a little too big for her. It was the best she was going to be able to do, and hopefully class was short enough that it wasn't going to cause her too much pain.

Ahsoka didn't really care for the look of the shoes, but her real problem with them was that not being knee-high like her boots made it a lot harder to ignore the fact her formerly ankle-length leggings now ended somewhere mid-calf.

Peridot was basically going to lose the entire class period over here, trying to figure out shoes. She'd never worn a pair in her life, unless her limb enhancers counted. She had no need to know her shoe size, as every Era 2 Peridot was created equally, and shoelaces? What was even the point of shoelaces?

Getting shoes onto her feet that fit took basically the entire class hour, right there.

Remember, you have to keep track of your opponent's stats while you play. How often do they miss? How often do they bowl a strike? A spare? On average, how many pins do they knock over?

Share your opponent's stats with your opponent. Would you bet on yourself? If so, why? If not, why aren't you doing so well? Is it something you can change? Or is it just luck?
