Geology -- Second Lab

*The floor is repaired. Students are now required to sit with their partners. Roy and Edward are on opposite ends of the classroom. And yes, Ms. Sidle is reserving the right to shoot whoever does the next destructive within her class.*

Good afternoon. Those of you who did not show up on Monday are required to finish that lab as well as today's.

*She lectures on plate tectonics and geological formations before assigning the new lab, which consists of analyzing fault structures.*

::comes in with a large cup of kaf in hand. A droplet lands on the sign-in sheet, just as he fingerprints it. A tiny smoking hole burns through the sheet::

Sorry, Miss.

::takes seat, grumbling about wookiees and kaf, and begins lab::

::enters, signs in, deliberately doesn't even acknowledge Edward's presence, and takes a seat next to his partner::

Roy is watching this (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/75436.html) from his desk, with a frown. He leans over to Han, pushing what work he's done across the desktable.

"Sorry to run out on you a second time man," he whispers. "But I've got to see what's going on with Maia. I'll make it up to you next class."

Roy scribbles a note, gets up and tosses it on the teacher's desk as he tries to discreetly (not secretly, just without a big commotion) leave the classroom.

The note reads:

Ms. Sidle, I have to go see what's wrong with Maia. Sorry to leave your class two sessions in a row. Don't take it out on my lab partner, he's cool.
