Driver's Ed [Friday, 2nd Period]

Cara's class? Still not in the Danger Shop. They were in the computer lab though, and she had a stack of booklets that she handed out.

"So before you start learning how to drive you're supposed to know what you can legally do, so that's happening." Of course she wasn't stalling, it was merely important that you knew this. Yeah. "So read these over and take the test, and when you've all passed we can start to think about actually driving."

So enjoy learning the road rules...of another country entirely.

Tip idly flipped through the handbook. She didn't much feel like she needed a book to tell her the rules of the road when she'd already been driving for years, and the first several pages, full of blood alcohol warnings and seat belts, didn't change her mind.

Okay, the signs were a little weird.

. . . Oh. Right, lanes. Giving way? What did that --

Ah. Right. Driving was a lot more complicated when other moving cars were going to be on the road. That made sense.

Roscoe squinted at the test. "I don't think this is for Maryland," he muttered.

Tip passed the test on the first try, though only by a slim margin. She was a good test taker, and quick to work out when the thing she would actually do wasn't the answer the test wanted, but she had very little concept of what a kilometer was, and almost none of the road signs were familiar.

Still. She felt very validated. She really was a Really Good Driver.
