Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

So, the heat meant that many of the tables and chairs had been set up in the shade, and someone had found outdoor table umbrellas in blue and gold, god help us all. But hey, a little heat never hurt anyone who wasn't a vampire, right?

Ahem. The picnic was open for warm, sunny business.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Ahsoka had a plate piled high with food, especially meat. The Force might have been enough while she was meditating, but now she'd stopped her body had been pretty quick to remind her she hadn't eaten since breakfast Thursday.

When she wasn't focused on eating, she was also taking the opportunity to enjoy the scenery this time, since there hadn't been any emotional trauma surprise reunions this time around.

"Ahsoka!" Ringo waved and smiled brightly whens he spotted the other girl. "How have you been?" She sort of felt like she'd done a bad job checking up on the other girl over the summer, but it looked like she was doing okay?

Ahsoka swallowed her mouthful of burger. "Ringo, hey!" She was actually capable of carrying out a conversation today, so that was a plus. "I've been keeping myself busy."

"I bet!" She grinned. "How did your summer turn out? I hope it was more good than bad."

"Well, it was unexpected." Between all Anakin's grandchildren and all. "But all right on the whole." She'd only had people trying to kill her when Hondo was involved!

"What's shore leave?"

"You know, down time for the troops between missions?" No, Ahsoka, most teenagers didn't know that because they hadn't joined the army at fourteen.

"I, um." Ringo thought about that. "I don't think I know any soldiers or anything like that?" Not that she realized were such, anyway.

"But that does sound sort of like a vacation, yeah."
