Duncan has a box of the small metal rods sometimes used in self defense. Each has a key ring attachment.

"Today is drills with these little guys. When you're done, keep 'em if you're comfortable with them."

He proceeds to demonstrate how to use them.

Ivanova paid close attention to the demonstration and then tried it. She was pretty good with it. Frighteningly good, actually. Almost as if she had been spending a bit too much time practicing with a Ranger staff during her convalescence.

Parker checked in and did her Aikido drill, and slowly seemed to unwind from a massive amount of tension. By the time she had been doing the blocks and kicks for twenty minutes, she almost looked human.

Parker tried to come up with a good response, then just gave up. "Sucky. It's been a very looooong week." She managed a real smile though. "But this helps. My ulcer seems to behave better after these workouts."
