Class was being held in the Danger Shop, which had been set to simulate a mall. Specoifically, a mall filled entirely with clothing stores in varying price ranges and styles.

Including one store that, inexplicably, sold nothing but green clogs. Jackson hadn't even noticed that one yet. Even if he had, though, he wouldn't have cared. He was recycling this sim from the last iteration of this workshop, anyway. He took no responsibility for anything.

He was standing in front of a Hugo Boss store, because of course. "Today, you're gonna go around the mall with your fake, limitless credit cards, and you're gonna assemble an outfit that you think is awesome," he explained, lazily, like he could just barely be bothered. "You can do it by yourself or alone, I really don't care. Just make sure you have a new outfit by the time you come back here at the end of class that you can show off and that I and the rest can judge the hell out of."

At least he was honest about his intentions.

He waved them off. "Go."

"Definitely the kind of thing you need a helping hand with." Isabela nodded her agreement. "Someone who'll really put their back into it."

"...maybe I should ask Dante t' do it. Shirtless. An' we can sit an' watch with popcorn." Look, when you had friends with super-strength, sometimes you made them put it to use. For both practical and pretty purposes.

Isabela's grin got a little broader and she went to sling her arm around Ada's shuolder. "Have I mentioned lately that I love the way you think," she asked. "Though we'll have to think of some way to properly thank him."

"We're clever," Ada assured her, slipping her arm around Isabela's waist. "If'n he needs a bribe, we'll find him somethin' sweet."

Dirty. Maybe not dirty -- she did make excellent cookies -- but probably Dirty.

"We do know what he enjoys eating."

Dirty. So dirty.

"Filthy," Ada said approvingly, pausing a moment to look in a shop window. "Seein' anything you like yet?"

"Oh, yes," Isabela said, because given that opening of course she was going to take it. "Now as far as the clothes go..."

"Keep that up, an' I might try to kiss you right here," Ada warned, shaking her head and trying to hide a smile. "Yes as far as clothes go."

"Oh, no, anything but that." Isabela was quite obviously intimidated by that warning. Yes. She pointed to a display. "I like the red one."

"Of course you do," Ada sighed. "You'd look good in it, too. Let's go have you try it on."

[And of course I have now watched ALL of Killjoys and it's your fault.]

"Let's," Isabela agreed, tugging Ada into the store.

[I regret nothing. :D]

Ada let herself be tugged and followed Isabela's lead. "If you got anything else similar in her size, just bring it now," she advised the nearest employee. "She'll find it anyway."

Because pirate.

Pirate with a sense for booty. All kinds.

"And anything especially sparkly for her," Isabela said, reluctantly letting go of Ada so she could make grabby hands for the red jacket.

Don't worry, Isabela, you could have your hands full of Ada later.

There was a moment of conferring before they brought Ada a few options to try.

...some of them were better than others, but Ada just shrugged and took them all. Maybe the clear one looked better off the hanger?

Promises, promises.

Isabela thought the clear one would look very good on Ada's floor, but since the lack of realness meant that wasn't an option... "I like the one with the tails," she said as she shrugged the coat on.

"Me too," she agreed, turning it inside-out for a moment to see how it was put together before putting it on. "Bet it would look cute with a mini skirt an' a hat."

"And either long boots or stockings to finish it off," Isabela said, playing with the (main) zipper on the jacket, because even after the better part of a year they were still fascinating. "How high should I do this?"

"Which reminds me, I finished those red silk garters for you that got little blade-sheaths stitched-in," Ada offered, buttoning up the top and then turning to inspect Isabela. "...take it all th' way up, t' start, an' see what feels good from there?"

It wasn't like it hid her assets, even when zipped up.

"Ooooh, you'll have to show me the right way to put those on," Isabela said, being utterly without shame. She fastened the zipper as far was it would go. "How's that look?"

Yes, because Isabela had to be so subtle to get Ada to play.

"Down a smidgen," she decided after considering for a moment. "How d'ya breathe in that? Ain't it hot?"

It just meant they had more energy for the important things!

"Say when," Isabela said, starting to slowly pull the zip back down. "It's warm, but better than all the layers 'a proper Antivan wife' needs." There were reasons her wardrobe had been one of the first battlegrounds of her marriage's breakdown.

"Can't dress a Rivani girl like an Antivan, that just ain't right," Ada said, knowing nothing of Antivan fashion beyond 'Isabela obviously isn't a fan.' and 'layers' made it sound like she was wrapped up like a burrito, which was just wrong.

"Stop, stop. You? Are the worst," Ada informed her, putting a hand over her eyes and waving the other one at Isabela and her zipper. "There, that's fine, take pity on a girl an' stop."

Isabela would have gone with swaddled, a bit of support for the girls was one thing... "Not unless you want her ready to murder someone."

She let go of the zipper. "I'm sorry," she said, not sounding very sorry. At all. "I promise I'll make it up to you."

That is the opposite of taking pity, Isabela.
