Extreme PE [Monday, Period 3]

Like last week's class, the simulation had them very high up, unlike last week's that was because they were in a plane rather than on a mountain.

"So, skydiving," Bond said after the formalities were out of the way. "It's not technically a sport, but in many ways it's the closest humans can get to the feeling of unaided flight. Even more so in the case of high altitude jumps, which due to the associated dangers, which thanks to the Danger Shop, you don't have to worry about, mainly occur in a military context."

He continued while they geared up. "Now, you have the choice today of doing a HALO or HAHO jump, which basically means you can open your chute late, and enjoy the freefall, or early and enjoy the ride down."

Okay... Rey was a little nervous, but she told herself that she'd repelled down from high places before. This was just a really high place. Where she wouldn't be attached to anything that wasn't falling with her. Easy.

After listening to the lecture...was it any surprise Jalian was going for the fast option? She'd come close to splatting just to enjoy the speed of freefall.

Rey went for the option that meant she could pull the chute earlier. Mainly because if anything went wrong, it'd sort of be like the other jump.
