Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Gosh, the summer picnic was so much nicer--and warmer--than the spring one. There were tables and chairs set up in the sun and the shade, and more than enough food for everyone. Hopefully, everyone was up for socializing for a while!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"This place moved?"

Peridot blinked.

"So we... we aren't on Earth, then?"

THIS WAS THE BEST NEWS ANYBODY HAD GIVEN HER ALL DAY.

"Not at the moment," he replied. "The locals referred to it as Azeroth?"

"I have never heard of Azeroth before, but it isn't Earth!"

Please excuse Peridot, Thorin. She was going to just kind of pump a fist into the air in victory, here. Because, you know, anything was better than Earth. Floating alone in the void of space forever would be better than Earth.

"That's great!"

In case he hadn't guessed.

"I suppose it is." He was still a little confused about why she was so thrilled, but would go with it.

IT MEANT THEY WEREN'T ABOUT TO DIE.

THIS WAS IMPORTANT.

"Trust me," Peridot said, leaning forward with a grin. "This is a good thing."

Oh, she'd become annoyed by this place and its weirdness eventually, she was sure. But for the time being, no Earth, no Cluster, and she didn't have to fear for her life.
