The Danger Shop looked like a ~~bank~~ secret installation today with armed ~~security guards~~ henchmen, some ~~bank patrons~~ probably top secret workers, and a vault with a briefcase full of ~~money~~ secret documents.

Okay, it was totally a bank sim that had been reskinned. Shut up. Fred was shooting for something here. Sorry. BOOMERANG was.

"Okay, so here's the thing. I'm not just the best gym teacher you've ever had. See this belt logo?" Boomerang pointed at the Thunderbolts emblem at his waist, which didn't actually seem to be on a belt. "I'm a member of a team of heroes called the Thunderbolts." Former member. And the heroism was either forced or circumstantial. "And some of the stuff I have to do involves infiltration and cool spy thieving stuff. This scenario is based on a real life thing I did one time." Bank robbery. It wasn't part of his T'bolts work. "Imma show you how a pro does this stuff, then you get to try it for yourself. Do the job well enough and who knows, maybe I'll have a place for you with a Teen Thunderbolts team or something. Teenderbolts? Let's now worry about the name right now."

"So, watch and learn, and see what you can incorporate from your lessons this semester!"

Once he was done explaining things, Boomerang took some boomerangs off his back and got to work. He started with a boomerang to the front door that exploded it. Three more guards got boomerangs to the face before a final boomerang stuck into the vault door, exploding it open. Boomerang hurdled the teller counter easily, rushed into the vault, grabbed the briefcase and started on his way out.

But just before he reached the exit, the punching guy from way early in the semester rushed in and started attacking. Boomerang grabbed one more boomerang and used it for a weighted punch, knocking the punching guy out with one shot before stepping out.

"And that's how it's done. Choose any weapons you might want to use over there while I reset the base."

And when he reset it, he may have turned the difficulty back up one notch.

Rey definitely watched, but she didn't know what she'd do differently. Some of the stuff might be easy?

There are three guards, plenty of normal people who didn't seem to want part of a fight, and a tough punching dude to fight at the end. Also, you have to open a bank vault somehow. How are you going to pull that off?

If it helps, there's a lot of moddable weapons to choose from. Everything from boomerangs and shuriken to swords and shotguns. Plenty to choose from! Grenades, too!

"Great," Alana sighed to Hazel, who had tagged along. Of course she got to see the class about robbing a bank. "Just ... don't pay too much attention to him, okay? He likes to play pretend."

Hazel looked confused. Her parents did stuff sort of like this all the time, didn't they? But she wasn't sure her mom was ready to hear about that, so she just nodded. "It's okay, Mom. Can I play with your phone?"

Alana handed it over with relief and went to find a gun.

All right, Rey was not necessarily comfortable with this, and she had to find a bo to do this with. She did not think she'd be a very successful bank robber.

Also she'd never been in a bank so what're you gonna do.

Run inside. Three armed guards. Vault. Grab the briefcase. Fight the dude. Walk out. How'd you do?

Rey actually did pretty well right up until the vault, and then she ran into things she wasn't really great at doing. It wasn't like she was even going to try with explosives, so she'd just get stuck on the fighting part.

Boomerang bets she aces this somehow.

Isabela did seem especially cheerful this class.
