Bond was not at the front of the classroom this week, instead, an irritated looking Cara was.

"Your teacher's sleeping off a gremlin bite," she said without preamble. "So I'm covering, even though this is the first I've heard of a 'you knocked them out, you take over their class rule'." Did you really need to share that, Cara, did you?

"According to his lesson plan you're supposed to be preparing for your final next week, so ask questions about that and I'll answer it." By making something up, what did she know about Bond's final plans?

Dante was here, and that meant Ada could stop fretting and wouldn't have to call and yell at him.

On the other hand, he was being very un-Dante like. And that was worrying.

She was going to try and catch his eye during the lecture, and incline her head slightly toward the door in a silent wanna get out of here?

Dante wasn't so out of it he didn't catch her looking. He raised his chin in recognition, his eyes sliding towards the exit.

Yeah. Maybe. Couldn't exactly focus on classes right now.
