Bond had his class meet him at the edge of the preserve today, where he handed each of them a compass and a map marked with instructions.
"Today you'll be looking at a kind of orienteering," he told them after the usual greetings. "There are several caches located in the preserve, and you'll be using the marked maps to find those caches. You all have different maps and the caches are tagged with your names, but you can choose to work together or alone. Good hunting."
