Weapon Safety, Wednesday

"Hey guys, it's good to see you again today," Sam said once everyone got into the Danger Shop. "Today, we're going to be talking about working with knives. Now, a knife can be a very useful tool in an up-close fight, but it can also be used from far away, if you have the right kind of knife." Sam went to a table and showed off a variety of throwing knives. "While fighting up close can be very satisfying, doing some damage to a target before it gets to you can also be a pretty useful tactic."

As usual, there were training dummies set up in the room, and more knives for the students to choose from. "I'd like for you guys to practice with these, to see how your aim is. If you want to get up close and personal with the dummies too, that's fine."

Ooooo! Ada'd been wanting to learn this ever since Four had mentioned them during their zombie class.

Ada was pretty much on the edge of her seat the entire lecture, waiting for her turn to get up and learn how to throw the shinies.

Shiiiiiiiny. Mara was used to working with vibroblades, both for throwing and for close quarters, but they had a different balance than something with a hilt and a blade. This would be fun!

Work on your aim, or get some stress out through stabbination.

Ada was starting with the ones that had more of a hilt, so that she didn't have to worry about accidentally cutting the webs between her fingers while she was getting the hang of it. But she was definitely enjoying this class far more than the swords!

Alana hadn't done a lot with knives, but it was hard to resist the shiny. She worked on her aim until she could nail the dummies between the eyes with ease.

Skaar was pretty sure this wasn't for him, but he was going to give it a shot anyway.

After the first knife lodged itself deep into the dummy, it was probably clear that throwing knives were maybe too dangerous to Skaar. Then he noticed that it was embedded handle-first. So yeah, he was going to admire the knives from more of a distance.

Now this was her thing! Kaylin quickly threw a handful of knives dead center into one of the dummies, then proceeded to slash said dummy into as many pieces as it would take before falling apart.
