Advanced Driver's Ed: Driving Other Stuff, Friday, First Period

"Hey, guys," Brian said cheerfully at the beginning of today's class. "Great news! You're almost done with introductions week. Just one more go, probably, unless you have another class today, and we can really get going. So I'm Brian O'Conner, and I'm your teacher for the semester. And it's known that I generally prefer cars, but sometimes you can't use a car. So let's go around the class, tell me your name, your year, and what you'd like to learn to drive this semester. How's that sound?"

"I'm Dante, I'm a sophomore, I guess," Dante said, shrugging. "Got a motorcycle sitting around out there somewhere, but I can drive that, so... anything?"

Kathy Li

"Still owe me lessons," Kathy muttered just loud enough for Dante to hear.

Dante tilted his head and grinned. "Next week?"

"Kathy Li, senior, and I'd like to learn how to pilot a plane or a helicopter, if that can be done?" It seemed doable by the Danger Shop, but she didn't know if Brian could teach them. "It would be awesome to learn and seems like a skill that might not be useful often, but when it is, it would be crucial."

"You're on," Kathy agreed. "I'll bring your last payment of cupcakes, too."

Thorin

"I am Thorin and I have previously taken your class. Though this time, I would like to learn how to flip a car in the air and then have it explode." Yes, he watched action movies recently. Why do you ask?

"Think you could narrow that down a little?" Brian asked.

Brian had already been considering how to do this, and, "I can definitely program for it, but you might have to study some diagrams between classes."

Not that that would ever happen to Brian or anything...

"Okay, this class isn't really about cars," Brian hedged. "...but we'll see if we can squeeze it in." It would be fun!

"I'm okay with that!"

Congrats, Kathy. You just ensured homework for the whole class. Miss Popularity for sure.

Kira Yukimura

"I'm Kira, I'm a junior, and I really really really want to learn how to ride a motorcycle if you can promise my parents will never know."

She was a simple girl with simple needs.

Garik Loran

"Face, senior, I'd like to get behind the controls of a snubfighter."

Dante shrugged. "What else goes fast?" he said.
