Anakin and Obi-Wan had made sure to tell the class to meet them outside the Portalocity office. Anakin, hands stuffed into his robes to protect them from the cold (kriffing cold, ugh), still managed to look a little smug. "Hello and welcome to Around the World in 16 Challenges," he said. "Today we're going to the Netherlands, a small nation on the continent of Europe."

"Since he appears to have skipped right ahead: this is Master Anakin Skywalker. I am Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Welcome." Obi-Wan looked rather more at ease with the cold, though he generally kept his hands tucked in his sleeves regardless. (He also had a far better poker face than Anakin's.) "Your first series of challenges will take place here," he continued, "and you will handle them by yourself. Later challenges may contain a teamwork component; for that, we ask that you find a teammate today with whom you ~~share a RL availability~~ will cooperate for the rest of the semester."

Anakin nodded, smile widening. "The odd one out gets paired with one of us."

Oh, you poor things. "This course will test you both physically and mentally and help you to confront fears about heights, hitting things, and eating things that are still moving." Anakin, that is not helpful.

And as such, Obi-Wan cleared his throat very loudly midway through that statement. "It will hopefully also lead you to appreciate this particular planet and its many cultures," he said, "So please, do try to enjoy yourselves as well."

"Today's challenges will test your attention to detail, your hand-eye coordination, and your ability to navigate yourself to different places," Anakin said, nodding. "We will be waiting for you at the end of the course. May the Force be with you."

And then the bike locks and the dike jumping! Because getting people muddy was hilarious.

... and the canal tour with the light sculptures, because not everything had to be mud, Anakin. Obi-Wan gave the class a formal nod of his head. "Begin."

Oh, shoot, the Judgy Dean (or so was the impression Hannibal has given her of Anakin) was her teacher.

Laura was stiffer than usual, and was that even possible? Apparently. It had nothing to do with the cold, considering she was dressed in relatively skimpy clothes.

"They loosen up after a little while. At least, Mr. Kenobi does," Kira said quietly, giving Laura a smile. She wasn't particularly cold either, but she, at least, had a long sleeved shirt on. "This will be a fun class."

At first, Laura had no idea of what Kira was talking about. She connected the dots a moment later, though. "That was not-" She stopped herself, wondering if she should speak her mind. "I do not mind." Welp, talk about sounding like a normal person.

"I figured as much. Sorry if I was being presumptuous," she said apologetically. "I'm Kira, we have Ms. Pryde's computer class together? Uh, I was wondering if you have a partner yet."

Ah, socialization with others, still something she was working on.

"No, you did nothing wrong." They could enter a serious apologize loop. "I am Laura. I saw you there." Laura then nodded. "No, I thought I would do it on my own. We can be partners if you want to."

Luckily enough, it was very straightforward for Laura... which was why she usually failed at it.

Kira grinned, because it took a lot to weird her out at this point. "Great! I don't know what they'll make us do in pairs, but I'm sure it'll be fun. Hopefully today will be easy." A little wishful thinking never hurt anyone, right?

Laura made her best attempt to smile, which came passable. She still didn't get used to the generalized niceness of the people there. "As the first class, it should be simple." Laura considered telling her she was very bad at teamwork, but decided she could afford to be a bit optimistic.

Eggsy looked around at his classmates for who might be a good partner. Even though he'd probably end up slowing them down by getting into fights.

Deal with it.

"I'd rather not pair up with a teacher," Rey said. "Want to be partners?"

"Yeah?" How did he just attract posh sounding accented girls from a galaxy far, far away? "That was even an option, cause I'd pick the bearded one."

No reason.

"I mean, if you'd rather partner with the bearded one, I could always find someone else," Rey half-joked.

~~But let's be real, she might be related to either teacher.~~

"He's got that whole respectable look about him," Eggsy replied. "Yours just got bad hair."

SORRY NOT SORRY, SKYWALKERS IN THE AREA.

"It's just hair. It'll grow," Rey pointed out.

Why would Cosette have a bad feeling about it? This looked like it was going to be fun!

Honestly, no one should be this optimistic.

"Hey, I don't really want to deal with the teachers, so do you want to be partners?" Blue asked Cosette.

"If you'd like, then yes," Cosette agreed readily. "I don't think I'd mind so much, but Master Skywalker's smile when he said so was hardly comforting."

"Yeah, that was kind of concerning," Blue agreed. "I mean, I don't reall know what they would do, but I don't really want to find out."

Kaylin was here a little late. As usual.
