Library, Saturday
If Elsa looked a little out of sorts as she made her way into the library, it was because she'd been treated to nightmares of days long past, of a little sister who was so far gone that she wasn't even shivering from the cold. She'd woken up with tears on her face, only to be met with a knock on her door, and a tentative, "Elsa?"
It had happened a few times that morning while she'd tried to pull herself together. Every time, she went and actually opened the door. She was going to do things differently. She was going to do things right by Anna.
Every time, there was nobody at the door.
The first thing she did when she got to the library, then, was put on hot water for tea. The next thing she did was try to figure out the coffee maker. And the third thing she did was make a beeline for a stack of books, because at least if she was busying herself with being useful, then the barrage of emotions that was hitting her like a sack of bricks would maybe, maybe dull a little.
Spoiler: It didn't.

Mod Your Library
Research
Elsa has set out hot tea and tissues for those of you who need some comfort, and coffee for those of you who need some help waking up after two solid nights of nightmares.
The tea is fantastic. The coffee is... it's somewhat coffee-like, at least. It'll definitely wake you up.
Research: Whiteboard
under the appropriate OCD!Research: Whiteboard - List of Creatures
Winged creatures with weapons
Demons?
Creatures that like to hit things
There was still plenty of space for anybody who might like to clarify what was there, or to add something else.
Re: Research: Whiteboard - List of Creatures
NIGHTSTALKER -- creepy old man who eats last hopes. Gets bigger more he eats. Eventually turns into giant floating walnut.
This was accompanied by two little cartoony illustrations, of the nightstalker in human and walnut forms.
RE: Research: Whiteboard - List of Creatures
Hardison was not particularly fond of being outside right now.
Re: Research: Whiteboard - List of Creatures
Research: Whiteboard - Misc.
There was still plenty of room for any additions, should anyone find anything useful.
RE: Research: Whiteboard - Misc.
"CULT MURDER-SUICIDE IN LOCAL TOWN
GLASGOW - The citizens of the township of Glasgow, WI have been found dead in a gruesome scene in the town square. The citizens appeared to have turned on each other. A series of warnings were dismissed by local police as 'prank calls' in the days leading up to the massacre. Several citizens of the town called the nearby station to complain about 'feeling several things at once', 'sensing the anger of their neighbors', 'feeling unusual empathy'. Some also claimed to be psychic. Demands were made of nearby churches to come and exorcise what locals claimed were 'evil spirits'. The FBI suspects the town fell prey to a cult."
He highlighted the sentence about empathy and feelings and underlined the words 'massacre' and 'found dead'. Apparently, the stakes were a lot higher than just being haunted and feeling what everyone else did.

Re: Research
He'd thought that coming to the library and researching the creatures that were wandering around would be helpful, but every time he pulled a book off of a shelf, another book flew off of the shelf at him. The first few times, he got smacked in the chest, sighed, and stuffed the book back onto the shelf. He tried to duck once, and got a book to the throat, and when he finally got smacked in the face he hit his limit. "Okay, I get it!" he yelled, snatching the book up and holding onto it.
That was probably a little louder than he needed to be inside, but the book had totally started it.
Re: Research
Some hours later, he was (still) paging through it when he found a scrap of paper wedged in there. Curious, he picked it up and started reading. "Five days gone. 3x spirits rampant. Many lost. Solution found. All works moved to...oh, sithspit."
Re: Research
The fact that this was much more Shauna's domain didn't make the melancholy dreams she'd had last night about missing her friends back home any easier to deal with. But Lottie had never been one to let gloom hold her down for long.
RE: Research
In all, though, Hardison reeeeeeally didn't want to walk back to the apartment if there were going to be zombies lurking about. Or demons. Or scary flying things. So rather than heading home after he'd pinned the article up on the whiteboard, he settled into a chair with his laptop. He might have better gear and equipment back at his place, but staying here meant running into a lot fewer monsters that wanted to eat him. And that was important.
Talk to Elsa
Every now and again, people might feel a burst of guilt and shame whenever the island so helpfully supplies the sound of a small child calling her name, accompanied by the sound of a knock at the door.
She's not bothering to answer it, anymore.

Constantine could be considerate sometimes. Who knew?
