Sex Ed, Tuesday, 3rd Period
Clint looked a little better this week than last week - he showered and actually eaten something! - and he had the question box on his lap as he sat perched on the front desk. "I actually found a question in here the other day. First of all, thank you for your condolences about Kitty. I really appreciate it," he said. "As for the question: Have you ever had that not so fresh feeling? Also what is that not so fresh feeling? Doesn't that just mean you need a doctor? I try to avoid not so fresh feelings? I think, at best, it's a sign that someone hasn't been showering enough, but it could also be a sign that they have one of our friendly looking STDs, so a doctor's visit might not be a bad idea."
Clint laughed softly and set the box aside, taking a deep breath. "So, today we're going to talk about relationships." Because Clint was a glutton for punishment like that. "Primarily, monogamy vs. polygamy. Monogamy is the idea that people should have one partner at a time - once you find a girlfriend or boyfriend, you just date that person until you break up or get married or whatever. Polygamy refers to any relationship that involves more than two people. Usually, it's talking about a guy married to a lot of women, but that's gross and not what I want us to be thinking about. Some people say that you can't expect one person to be everything that you want. Like, maybe you have a boyfriend, and he's really into all the things you like to do, like going to the movies or playing whatever sport you like, or he's got that one particular superpower that you think is great... but he's really lousy in bed. If you two wanted to be monogamous, you'd have to decide if you wanted to put up with the lack of bed skills to keep all the fun stuff you two do together. If you were polygamous, you could have a second boyfriend, or girlfriend, that you do all the sexy stuff with, and then you'd have everything you want. You'd also have to balance two relationships though, and that can have its own troubles. Really, there's pros and cons to both sides, so I thought we could have a discussion about which option might be better." One that hopefully wouldn't lead to bloodshed or anything.
