fandomhigh | Detention - Saturday 3/4

Lorelai is a lot of things, but a technological whiz is not one of them, so when students enter the Danger Shop on Saturday, it looks like... the Danger Shop. There were entirely too many buttons for her to figure out how to change it.

The list of names is on the board:

"Okay, gang, I don't know what you did to earn detention today, but I'm supposed to keep you busy all day. I planned, what I hope, are some fun activities that will also make you think about whatever it is that landed you here. You may talk quietly with each other while you complete these activites, as long as you are, indeed, working. If you're all behaved and you get everything done, you'll be dismissed at 5 pm ~~EST~~ FHT. If you're not behaved, well, from what I understand, I can keep you here all night."

[ocd up! I'll be on and off throughout the day. I moved last week and still have ~~all~~ some unpacking to do. I also have plans to go out to dinner with my roommate and a couple friends. Lorelai stands in front of the room.

"As you've no doubt noticed, I am expecting a baby this July. We found out a few weeks ago that it's a boy. We have not decided on a name yet. My husband and I are giving the honor of naming the baby to my daughter, Rory, who some of you might know because she's a student here. In order to make this easier on her, I'd like you all to come up with a list of ten possible baby names that I can give her."

[ooc: In case you don't know GG canon, wackier is better with Lor. She named her dog Paul Anka. She named Luke's toolbox Bert. She named Rory "Lorelai" after herself because she was all doped up and couldn't think of anything else.]

Draco sticks a pen in his mouth and begins to think of name. Of course he is familar with giving kids wizardly names.

Lorelai grins at Paige's names. "I like these," she tells her.

Paige smiles back at her, "well there are far too many David's in the world right, and who wants a baby with a boring name?"

Peter had a conversation about this a couple weeks ago, so he had a good idea of what names might work.

"Yeah, I had the inside track on this one. I came up with 'Starbucks' a couple weeks ago. The rest just went with the theme," Peter admitted.

"I like the way you think," Lorelai tells him.

"Thank you," Peter said with a smile. Rory was right. He really did get along with her mother.
