fandomhigh | Student Council, Friday [lunchtime]

As promised, when lunchtime rolled around, Zoe had everything ready for the new Student Council. There were a variety of pizza boxes out on the table, as well as a salad to vaguely pretend to have a healthy option, and then a plate of cookies because even salad people needed cookies.

"Good afternoon," she said, once everyone was settled with their food. "I'm glad you all could be here." She was glad to see most of you, at least. "The Student Council is an important part of the school, helping to make sure our various activities go off without a hitch, and apparently making sure things are covered in glitter as often as possible, but that could just have been the aim of previous groups. I wanted to make sure we met today for two reasons. First, we have to pick a president from our two seniors, and we have to start preparing ourselves for Parents Weekend, which is in two weeks. For those of you who are new, Parents Weekend is when family members and guardians and friends are all invited to come visit, so the island gets pretty full. If you have an idea for something we can get everyone together for on Saturday besides a basic dinner, let me know."

Isabela still couldn't believe they'd been desperate enough to actually put her on this thing, but here she was, sprawled out in a chair with one leg hooked over the arm.

At least there was free food.

About halfway into Zoe's speech, Dante turned to look back at the rest of the group with a slice of pizza dangling out of his mouth.

Which he promptly removed. It was getting in the way of a perfectly fine line of sight that led to someone's perfectly fine rack.

Isabela was actually paying attention to Zoe, mostly because she had eyes and partly in the hopes she'd tell them picking a president involved some kind of wrestling while shirtless and covered in glitter. A girl could dream.

She gave no indication of noticing Dante (and his oh so very dashing pizza dangling), but completely coincidently chose that moment to stretch her arms up over her head.

He appreciated that, 'coincidence'. Dante smirked quietly to himself.

Only then did he return his attention to Zoe. And his pizza.

Since she did so like to be appreciated, Isabela had an answering smirk of her own, though there was nothing quiet about it.

Then she tragically dropped her pen. If by 'dropped' you meant picked up a pen that happened to be handy and threw it at Dante while Zoe was looking the other way. Oops.

The pen hit him in the shoulder and then fell neatly down to the ground. Dante looked back again, and spotted her. This time, the smirk was very much aimed at her.

Also the leaning over to pick up the pen that didn't at all show off his arms.

Yes, it didn't show them off very nicely indeed, so Isabela's appreciative grin must have been directed at Zoe or something.

(Well, Zoe and Dante were both in her line of sight, so that was working out very well for her.)

Dante tapped himself on the nose with the pen in recognition of her fantastic choice to grin at Zoe.

Then he turned back again. Because work or something. Or so he could write 322 on his hand and hold it up facing Isabela for, like, three seconds.

Good thing Isabela was a quick reader, because that was absolutely vital information to know.

Now she just had to wait for the next time he turned around so she could wink in acknowledgement, at Zoe of course.
