Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could work on their tan while they ate, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool and non-crispy.

All of the tables had some blue and gold glitter scattered across them, because there was always enough to go around. This school certainly was blesesed in all the right ways.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Jalian eyed this new girl with a bit of appreciation and a bit of envy - what the Maker had given Isabela in abundance, Jalian had...well, she'd pretty much missed that particular gifting line entirely.

"You're new," she noted.

It wasn't so much about what you had, though Isabela did have a lot, but what you did with it.

"And if you can make that observation, you're not," Isabela replied with a grin.

What Jalian did with hers was mostly...ignore it unless it helped make males more stupid so she could get their money?

"I am not," she agreed. "I have been here for some time now." She held out her arm to grip. "Jalian. Jalian d'Arsennette y ken Selvren."

Jalian said that like it was a bad use for them.

Isabela reached for the the offered arm. "Isabela. No other names."

It wasn't exactly a lie.

Well, Jalian didn't think it was a bad use for them. Still, Isabela could probably hide knives in her cleavage better.

Jalian nodded as they gripped arms. "You're to be a student here?"

Isabela could hide lots of things in her cleavage, which was good, because her clothing choices didn't really lend themselves to pockets.

"So they tell me," she replied. "It all sounds very exciting."

Jalian shrugged. "It isn't bad. Sometimes they teach sensible things, and the people are often smart. Sometimes even the males," she admitted.

She held out her plate, offering Isabela the assorted fruit on it. "And there's plenty of food and it isn't bad, although there's a lot of meat and sugar."
