Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could work on their tan while they ate, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool and non-crispy.

All of the tables had some blue and gold glitter scattered across them, because there was always enough to go around. This school certainly was blesesed in all the right ways.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Just got in today from Rivain, kitten," Isabela told her, making it sound like she'd done in on purpose. "Some country I've never heard of. Though there's at least one other Ferelden about."

"I've never been to Rivain," Merrill said thoughtfully. "But I've heard of it, at least! Oh, I'm glad. I won't feel quite like I'm the only one out of place, then."

"I hope so," said Merrill, although she didn't look like she believed it. "Probably not as well as you will, though."

Shh, Isabela, people are are going to talk, you don't even have Hawke and Varric to blame for this yet.

Yes, but if you decided to blame Hawke and Varric retroactively someday, you could probably make a pretty solid argument for it.

"Really? But you don't even know me," said Merrill, in a tone that was not so much skeptical as it was incredulous and grateful. "But it'll be good to know someone almost from home."

She could try blaming Zevran, but even Isabela was aware just how unconvincing 'I'm looking out for the tiny kitten because of my former lover the teenage half-Dalish assassin' sounded.

"Well that's exactly it, we girls from Thedas need to stick together," she said instead.
