Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could work on their tan while they ate, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool and non-crispy.

All of the tables had some blue and gold glitter scattered across them, because there was always enough to go around. This school certainly was blesesed in all the right ways.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Of course not," Mabel replied, as though he was silly for even asking. "I wouldn't serve sub-par Mabel Juice to anybody! It just doesn't taste right without at least a plastic giraffe or something."

Dipper began to wonder if he should start spending his money buying up all the plastic animals on the island.

"You know that stuff is pretty scary to drink right?" Dipper asked. "I mean Grunkle Stan wouldn't even drink after that one time."

"Yeah, but Grunkle Stan is a bad indicator for most things," Mabel pointed out. "Remember that time he had us making counterfeit money?"

Mabel was never going to forget how cold the county jail had been.

"Yeah but he was afraid of drinking your stuff," Dipper pointed out. "And how often did we ever see him afraid?"

"I've seen him afraid of heights before," Mabel replied. "And of going on dates with Lazy Susan. And folk festivals."

"See? Totally scary things!" Dipper said waving his noodle arms for emphasis. "And this is a guy who fought off the zombie apocalypse."

"It wasn't really an apocalypse if it never left Stan's property," Mabel pointed out. "And it was love and harmony and karaoke that fought them off, remember?"

Therefore, your argument was invalid, Dipper.

"Anyway, you don't get to use the zombies as an example, since they were your fault to begin with."

"I said I was sorry!" Dipper said with a sigh. "And how many zombie apocalypses have I caused since then?"

At least that they could remember.

Mabel had to pause and consider this.

"Just zombies, or are we counting ghosts and other assorted things that wanted to kill us?"

Like dead lumberjacks and dapper triangles.

"Hey, that ghost was haunting the Northwest family! I had nothing to do with that other than stopping it. And getting you invited to the dance which was your idea." Dipper pointed out. "And I didn't summon Bill. That was your creepy ex-boyfriend."

"You did get yourself possessed, though."

And Bipper had been the stuff of nightmares.

You didn't have to tell Dipper. He still had scars from Bill animating his body.

"Only because you didn't help me because you were too busy making sock puppets to impress a boy," Dipper retorted.

"You," Dipper admitted with a sigh. "Fine. Look, I haven't broken my promise since then. At least as far as I know. Doesn't that count for something?"

Mabel gave Dipper a scrutinizing eyeball for a moment before relenting with a sigh of her own.

"Yeah, fine. But I mean it, Stan is a terrible indicator of what anybody should consider normal. I mean, unless you also think that everyone here drinks prune juice and reads Gold Chains for Old Men Magazine."

"Well I don't know. Normal here is a pretty bizarre definition," Dipper pointed out. "For all we know the talking pony reads that magazine."

Dipper paused and then realized that yes, she would look good in chains.

"Yeah she would," Dipper agreed. "I have a class with her this semester. Should I bring some to her as a gift?"

Mabel took a moment to consider this with the gravity that it required.

"Definitely," she settled on. "I mean, if you can afford to. I bet she loves presents!"

Who didn't, right?
