Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could work on their tan while they ate, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool and non-crispy.

All of the tables had some blue and gold glitter scattered across them, because there was always enough to go around. This school certainly was blesesed in all the right ways.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Hey," Alana said, smiling weakly back at Mara. "So, guess you got a new roomie."

"Yeah," Mara said with a frown. "Not the best start to my school year. How are you doing?"

"I spent the last week eating ice cream and watching soap operas," Alana informed her, shrugging. "Oh, and I flirted with Ezra already. So ... not as bad as it could be, I guess. It just sucks because I went through this same shit last year."

"I'm sorry," Mara said sincerely. "And I like ice cream and soap operas if you want non-Ezra company."

"I might take you up on that," Alana told her. "Not that my solo ice cream-and-soaps parties aren't awesome, but it's good for me to talk to people sometimes."

"Well, my summer camp at home's finished and I have absolutely no plans other than to check in with my suuuuuper cute boss at the candy store and see if I can get a job again," Mara said, "so whenever, you know?"

"I don't have anything Tuesday," Alana suggested. "... or a roommate right now. I think they took pity 'cause I'm a senior. Want to come to my place? And you're gonna have to tell me about that candy store guy."

"Candy store guy is Mr. Barnes," Mara said, "and he looks like an older, less greasy Flick."

"And Flick was a pretty nice-looking guy," Alana noted approvingly. "I may be in the market for candy sometime soon."

She had to chase down the ice cream with something!
