This alien invasion, and the subsequent activity in the library, meant that Face's valuable napping time was being cut into. Which was terrible.

Also the kidnapping, that was bad too.

Because Face is actually busy instead of just euphemistically so.

Over the past week Face has developed feelings about card catalogues. Strong feelings.

Where the useful things are going on!

Cosima was tapping away at her keyboard as rapidly as she could. She felt a rush of personal satisfaction as she watched another tower fall and knew her keystrokes had helped that happen. Soon, everybody would be home.

"This is like the best video game ever," she told nobody in particular, then wondered if it sounded bad. People had been kidnapped after all. "... except, you know. Serious."

Face had left a large pot of caf near here for Kinzie.

All for Kinzie.

Kinzie... couldn't actually drink the caf, but she liked looking at it from time to time?

"This place is coming apart," she crowed happily. "Burn, baby, burn!"

"Am I wrong for thinking it's kind of the best?" Cosima asked. "These jokers are going down."

"No, this part is great," Kinzie said cheerfully. "We're going to rip them a new asshole. Five new assholes! Ten!"

"Their whole bodies will be one giant asshole," Cosima added, and didn't even care that was scientifically implausible.

She watched a Zin ship go down in flames on Kinzie's monitor and let out a whoop.

"Now if we just keep on bringing the pain, we'll teach these Zin not to go anywhere NEAR this planet!"

Oh, Kinzie. Such naivete.

Raven came by the library -- after spending the night blissfully curled up in her own real actual bed in the dorms, thank you -- to see if there was anything she might be able to help with in regards to getting everyone else out of the sim.

And to do one other thing.

"Um, are you Kinzie?" she asked, feeling a little bit of the shyness that tends to come along with, say, a celebrity encounter. "I hear you're the one who told everyone how to bust in and start getting people out and I just wanted to say thank you."

"You're welcome," Kinzie sing-songed.

Visibly pleased.

In fact, a second later, she looked over her shoulder and bellowed, "SEE, BOSS? SOME PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO SAY THANK YOU!"

(Vaguely in the distance, a female voice hollered back: "IT'S THE PRESIDENT NOW!")

And another one over here for Constantine, because he wasn't stupid.
