Fandom High Library [Weds, July 29]

John had been up for ages, really, or hadn't been to bed yet, one of the two. Either way, he had been out for a fag, looked up as he took that first, sweet drag, and... fucking hell.

He was going to have to open the bloody library to the public, wasn't he? And he'd been getting so much done in Special Collections on the days he didn't have aides to worry about.

He'd pulled on trousers and a shirt (thank (or curse) your god(s)) and stopped long enough to pick up a new pack of smokes and a box of donuts. Because fuck if he was going to start saving the world without breakfast.

The Fandom High Library was open, and the Librarian was in.

[[OOC: OCD up, please be aware I'm having connection issues today. STUPID ALIENS.]]

Never mind the terminals, Tali had her omni-tool; she'd been running queries on it since the second her analysis of that email came back with no indications of any suspicious corrupted protocols. At that point she'd already been on her way to -- well. She'd started heading for the weapons locker, but knew better than to run off and start investigating a giant unfamiliar ship all by herself, so she detoured toward the library instead, reasoning that this was where anyone else who read the email and heard the instructions might turn up.

She was peering intently at the omni-tool display, judging by the slight incline of her head, and tapping the fingers of her right hand on its holographic surface (yay for haptic-interface cybernetic implants) at a rapid pace.

"What bosh'tet came up with this -- ugh!"

Hacking normally came easily to her, but this code was completely unfamiliar, and that was frustrating.
