Cosette came in this morning to find Post-It notes with smiley faces on them on the screens of all the library computers. She took them off, of course, and even went and dug up cleaning supplies so she could make sure no sticky residue was left on the monitors, but she'd be lying if she said she wasn't at least a little bit sorry. Because smiley faces!
. . . which was why she left the Post-It notes beside each keyboard instead.
It wasn't worth trying to figure out if someone had done it, or if it was just another quirk of the island or the library, she decided. Besides, if it was the thought that counted, it had been a nice one.
