History of the Ancient World class

History of the Ancient World
TTh 12:30-3:30 pm

Although he was rushed, Seimei was the picture of calm and relaxed as he collapsed gracefully onto his pillows. The scroll was rolled out and his brush moved quickly over the paper to write out the class discussion question.

Homer’s The Iliad profoundly inspired Alexander. He carried a copy of The Iliad with him into every battle and tried to live by its theme of “might tempered by mercy.” Discuss what this theme means and give examples of how he tried to apply it in his rule.

See [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh_ooc for OOC commentary on History Classes.

My most profound apologies for post THIS one so late. Feel free to use the next few days to comment to count for attendence. I'll keep up with this on Thursday and get back on track

Duce smiles to herself after reading the assignment. She then turns in a paper that does as requested, discussing the theme and how Alexander tried to apply it to his rule. She also inserts commentary on how a perception of the past through glorified historical fiction can impact modern-day life in a positive manner.

She does not once refer to Homer as a syphilitic liar.
