History of the Ancient World
TTh 12:30-3:30 pm

Although he was rushed, Seimei was the picture of calm and relaxed as he collapsed gracefully onto his pillows. The scroll was rolled out and his brush moved quickly over the paper to write out the class discussion question.

Homer’s The Iliad profoundly inspired Alexander. He carried a copy of The Iliad with him into every battle and tried to live by its theme of “might tempered by mercy.” Discuss what this theme means and give examples of how he tried to apply it in his rule.

My most profound apologies for post THIS one so late. Feel free to use the next few days to comment to count for attendence. I'll keep up with this on Thursday and get back on track

Draco smiles, thankful that the Illiad was one of the few muggle books he has read. Standard issue with the whole Death Eater gig. That and cool little green boxers for the men. His fathers idea, he'll admit. He writes down a paragraph about the theme of of the Illiad in great detail, hoping the details on theme will make up for his lack of knowledge about Alexander.
