When students arrived, the danger shop didn't look like anything in particular. Just a big, empty room. Pretty boring, to be honest.

"Welcome to Tactics and Teamwork," Washington said. "I'm Agent Washington, your instructor. We'll have further introductions after running drills. Get to it."

Cardio was important when it came to not dying, kids! Just be glad he didn't have time to plan out the perfect obstacle course for you as well.

This was also a good way to gauge the fitness levels of the class. Just... don't puke or anything. He wasn't going to clean that up. Only once laps were completed was everyone presented with a very basic set of body armor in either red or blue and a paintball gun with the same color bullets. Fair warning, even with the armor, it would still sting.

"I'm aware that there is an uneven number of students in this class, so for the purposes of team exercises, there will be a simulation soldier programmed into the system to assist you," Washington said. "For this class, I want to see where your skills are at working in working as a cohesive team against one another. The objective is to remove all the opponents on the other team from play by hitting them with the paintball gun."

The room changed into... well, pretty much like it was before. Only this time, there were large storage crates scattered around for cover.

"I'll be keeping an eye on your progress and will step in should anyone get too... enthusiastic."

While putting on your body armor. Hopefully you're not too winded for that.

After class, he was available for any questions you may have.

Clarke Griffin, Red

"I'm Clarke," she grunted, trying to attach the armor to her legs. "I...I don't really know what else you want me to say."

On the Ark everybody basically knew each other so introductions weren't necessary.

Clarke didn't really know anything about her "enemy" seeing as she had been here less than a week but "shoot and cover" seemed like a good plan of attack.

But she'd wait to see if anybody else had any better ideas.

"Your name was a good start." A+ for that. "How about why you're taking this class?"

"I didn't sign up for this class," Clarke said. "I got here by accident and I guess the school picked for me."

Wait. That sounded mean.

"But I guess it could be useful in my every day life."

Hey, they were getting somewhere!

"Would you care to elaborate?"

Ringo Noyamano, Blue

"My name is Ringo Noyamano," Ringo said. Pulling the armor on had been pretty straightforward, but now she seemed to be kind of stuck in a cycle of jumping a few times, then adjusting straps so that it fit more comfortably, and then repeating.

"And I've never done anything quite like this before." Armor. That was totally new. Which probably helped explain the constant readjustment.

Ringo looked awkwardly around. "Um, hi," she said, just as awkwardly. "I'm Ringo." It was important to get to know your teammates, right?

"You get used to it." Said the guy who didn't like to take his armor off. Don't be that guy, kids. It's weird.

"Oh. Um, good." That was a good thing right? Getting used to it?

The idea of combat was something Ringo could deal with, especially sort-of mock combat. But the guns thing was new, and Ringo looked incredibly uncomfortable as she crouched behind one of the crates.

Kathy Li, Red

Winded? By a few laps? Pffft!

Kathy hadn't run at top speed during the drills, keeping herself to a normal person's sprint until her laps were done. The armor was tricky, however, and she wasn't a huge fan of how it weighed her down.

"Kathy Li, rising senior," she said, checking her range of motion while wearing the armor. She wasn't going to complain about wearing it, but she wanted to know up front if she could still do a backflip while wearing it, rather than finding out when it actually mattered.

"I'm willing to be bait, if we want to try to lure them out so other people can shoot at them," Kathy offered. "If I draw them out of position, other people can target them?"

Other people with more experience with paintball guns maybe?

Don't you besmirch his armor.

"Problem?"

Yes, backflips were still possible. Though it would be loads easier if he'd been nice and given them the power armor.

"Rising senior?"
