Bailing 101, Monday

The classroom was empty at starting time; Atton was nowhere to be found.

It was otherwise a completely normal classroom, albeit anyone trying the windows would find them locked in place.

There was no note, there were no other items, just desks and chairs. And quiet, at least for the moment.

Well. This was surprising. And (once the novelty of not needing to introduce himself had worn off) suspicious.

It would be just like Fandom to have a teacher teach bailing by bailing himself, wouldn't it?

It was weird, to be in a classroom instead of crammed into a trailer with a dozen cousins her age, feeling the road under them while they did their worksheets.

It was also really weird there was no adult pretending to teach, and Ada looked around at the other students to see if this was normal.
