Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could soak up that precious vitamin D, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool.

All of the tables had at least a little glitter on them though. It was a welcoming gesture to get glitter someplace you didn't know glitter could go!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"You're a Ratman fan?" Kathy asked, grinning and pointing down to her Revengers leggings. Comic versions of the Revengers because as fun as the movies were, she was a comics girl at heart.

"But to answer your question, yeah. Kinda like Ratman. When they first started showing up, people thought they were media tie-ins and publicity stunts. In LA alone, there's the Mighty Dragon, Regenerator, Gorgon, sometimes Banzai, though she's mostly East Coast right now--" that was her hiding a smile, yes. "A couple of others. Awesome Ape is in Chicago. Some guy made out of electricity's up in Boston, I think. It's all really cool."

"Wow. Superheroes," Dipper said breathlessly. "I mean we had some weird stuff going on where my great uncle lived but no superheroes. That's awesome!"

Kathy grinned. "I know, right? There are even a few here on the island," she said. "Banzai, the one I mentioned being on the East Coast. The Human Torch. There was a Batman for awhile, but I'm not sure if he's still around. Sailor V, too, but she might have gone home after graduation."
