Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could soak up that precious vitamin D, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool.

All of the tables had at least a little glitter on them though. It was a welcoming gesture to get glitter someplace you didn't know glitter could go!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Are you okay?" The soft voice came from a girl wearing glasses and pigtails. She'd been passing by, and had found her concern overwhelming her shyness when she saw his expression.

"Do I not look okay?" Jesse asked, actually sincere as he gave her a slightly rueful look. "Guess I'm not hiding it that well."

"Well," Ringo said gently, smiling at him, "your plate still has the same amount of food on it as it did a while ago..."

She shrugged, looking back up and over the crowd of people at the picnic. "Though, really, it is a lot to take in, isn't it?"

"We don't have talking ponies where I'm from."

Jesse felt that that explained everything, honestly.

"Oh." Ringo nodded at that. "Yeah. Me neither. But... it turns out that Pinkie Pie seems very nice?" There had been a cupcake.

"At least I think so. I'm still trying to find my way around myself, so..."

"I haven't talked to her," Jesse admitted, rubbing his forehead a little. "It's just, you know, a lot to take in."

Like she'd said, Jesse, exactly.

"Sorry. I'm Jesse, by the way." See, he did have manners! Sometimes.

Oh, manners!

"Oh, sorry! I'm Ringo Noyamano!" Ringo accompanied her introduction with a polite bow. "It's very nice to meet you!"

"I suppose I should have said so earlier," she admitted softly as she straightened.

"The beetle?" Ringo repeated, frowning. "I do not think I know that one." Then she shook her head with a smile. "It isn't an uncommon name in Japan," she answered.
