Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could soak up that precious vitamin D, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool.

All of the tables had at least a little glitter on them though. It was a welcoming gesture to get glitter someplace you didn't know glitter could go!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"We're besties already," Cosima deadpanned. "So, did you get the 'special school for unique students' sales pitch, too?"

"Indeed I did," Ezra confirmed with a nod. "Although mine was the version where 'unique students' heavily included those of a supernatural persuasion. There are several versions of that pitch, so I don't know if you got the same one."

"No, mine was more about 'bright students who don't fit into traditional schools well,'" Cosima said slowly. "Say that part about the supernatural again?"

She'd heard enough weird stuff already that she could accept it, but it was still a new surprise every time.

"Some of our students supernatural creatures," he explained, helpfully, then held up his hands. "Surprise!"

"Uh-huh," Cosima said, raising her eyebrows. "Y'know, Ezra, the bizarre thing is I've already seen enough that I believe you. What are you, a wizard or something?"

Ezra smirked.

"I'm a fox."

He just... always had to put it like that because everything was a game, and just saying 'werefox' was boring.

Cosima smirked back at him. "I'm like at least three-quarters gay and I can see that. So being hot's your superpower?"

He snickered. "Well, that too," he replied, without any particular modesty because pffft, modesty. "But also in a more literal sense. I'm a were, of the fox persuasion. Means I can turn into a fox."

"Uh-huh." Cosima still wasn't sure if she totally bought this or if it was the weirdest attempt at picking her up ever, but at least the guy was entertaining. "And I suppose if I asked you to show me here, you'd say ..."

"That I would love to, but to do that I have to get naked so I don't get tangled up in my clothes." She knew how foxes were way smaller than people, right? "And I would rather not get banned from the picnic. Should you want a more private demonstration, though, that could be arranged."

"I'm sure," Cosima said, which wasn't a no. "Do you do this a lot? Offer to get naked in front of girls you just met?"

Again, still not a no. The scientist in Cosima was madly curious, for one thing.

"Only when they ask me about it first." He didn't just go around offering to take his clothes off. Thankfully. "I'm not a complete floozy, you know."

He was joking.

"Of course not," Cosima said, eyes sparkling with amusement behind her glasses. "I'd never imply such a thing."

She delicately ate a potato chip before adding, "... and sure. I'm always up for seeing the biologically impossible in action. How can I find you?"

"Well, I can give you my number, but I live at room 210 at the dorms," Ezra replied, "so that's a pretty easy place to catch a hold of me. And I'm definitely allowed to get naked there."

At least when Anna wasn't around.

"210?" Cosima repeated, because that sounded sort of familiar, then: "Hang on a second."

She went through her pile of newbie paperwork until she found her room assignment. "Kickass. I'm in 212 with Ada. So, we're neighbors, and I'm sure I'll have many many chances to ask you to get naked for me."

Though she'd probably only do it once. You know. For science.

For science! Ezra nodded. "Should be a decent number of opportunities, yes," he agreed. "With a one in... something chance of catching me when I'm already conveniently naked."

Although with how many of his clothes were actually tearaways, there was often not much time wasted even when he was clothed.

"Obviously I'll insist on no peeking."

Hahahaha. No.

"Obviously," Cosima agreed, going a tiny bit pink around the ears because she wasn't nearly as cool and jaded as she wanted people to think she was. "Well, until you're a fox. But then you'll be naked under fur."
