Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
The last picnic for new arrivals had involved a bonfire, but there was no need for artificial warmth today. The weather outside was sunny, and just breezy enough that no one would roast, hopefully. There were tables and chairs arranged around the lawn, along with a long table of food, drinks, and desserts for anyone who stopped by.
There were stacks of nametags for people to label themselves with, and lists to help folks find their siblings and roommates. With everything in order, it was time to welcome some new people!
[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2015]
How and why did the bottomless pit spit them out here? Were they stuck here? What about their friends and family back home? Was he going to fit in here? Could he pass himself off as cool?
It was everything he could do not to whip out his journal and start writing down his notations.
Dipper was used to weird things happening but this was different. Everything was different.
Was this what Bill was talking about?
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2015]
"Oh, good! I've been trying to find you," she said, hurrying up eagerly. There was a nametag with "Cosette" written on it, and a flower border drawn around the edges, pinned to her hat. "I'm Cosette. I've been assigned to you as a big sister of sorts -- they want to make sure the new students aren't too lost when they arrive, so they assign some of us to the job and that's what they call us . . . is everything all right? And why have you got a goat trying to eat your clothes?"
Apparently there was enough confusion to go around.

He then looked down at Gompers and shooed him away. "Don't mind the goat. He gets into everything. "
