School Auditorium: MSND rehearsal (4-7 PM FHT)

There are snacks and assorted beverages on a table to the side, and the house lights are up.

The stage lighting is still a little beyond Rory, so the simple overhead fluorescents will have to do for the day.

And by the door, there's a sign-in sheet.

Actors? Your stage awaits.

"I think there's something wrong with my copy," Vala says, waving the script at Rory and frowning. "I can't find the Kickass Ninja at all!"

Vala rolls her eyes.

"So that's my part? To show up and be invisible?"

She tilts her head for a minute to think about it. "You know, that might not be the worst plan after all...."

Xander raised his script. "I like that. Can I understudy her? And then keel her so I get to take her role?"

Cordelia actually looks slightly apologetic. "Sorry," she says with a small frown.

Xander frowns too. "Ok, no, see, you're supposed to call me on being a dick, here, and then I bitch some more and pretend you're not right. It's in the script and everything."

He points to the script that it's clearly not in, unless he's penciled 'improv snarking at Cordy' into the second act, which you never know with Xander, granted.

"My world is now cockeyed and also askew."

But she is grinning.

But then, she does that pretty much all the time.

Dream stifled a laugh, imagining Titania, 14 and with wild red braids.

"Er," Cordelia said nervously. "We haven't quite finalized exactly where the additional characters will be fitting in. This rehearsal will hopefully give us a clear idea of what to do. Sorry about that," she said quickly.

Vala looks less than impressed, but sits back, kicks her feet onto the seats ahead of her, and sits back to watch -- wishing she had some real, on-chicken-flavored popcorn to snack on while she watches everyone else suffer.
